Karen's lifelong quest for comfort led her to shed the corporate dress code of her fashion career, shred her pantyhose, toss her pumps, and create the now-famous KN Karen Neuburger lifestyle brand. Beginning with signature-soft boyfriend pajamas (deemed to be Oprah’s favorites); the brand is now synonymous with comfort-inspired living. Today, the KN brand’s comfort promise can be experienced in women’s sportswear and accessories, bedding, luxury mattresses, lounge socks, intimates, home décor, crafts and sleepwear for the entire family.
A native of Duluth, Minnesota, Karen previously worked as a fashion
buyer, merchandise manager and sportswear designer. She retired at age 40 to become a stay-at-home mom and introduced her first pair of "all-day" pajamas in 1994. Since then, Karen has hosted countless pajama parties at malls, in hotel ballrooms, on busy streets, in offices–even on airplanes.
Karen serves on the California State Board of Directors for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), a nonprofit organization that helps foster kids find safe and permanent homes. A member of NAWBO (National Association of Women Business Owners), she has received recognition and numerous awards as a businesswoman and an entrepreneur and is often a featured guest speaker at women-focused business conferences across the country. Karen currently resides in Marin County, California, with her husband, two grown daughters and grandchildren.
